Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.5 Release Notes Announcement Announcement Transport functionality is typically delivered as part of the HP-UX operating system. TOUR is an additional, fully supported Web release that delivers transport functionality and other networking features, independent of major HP-UX releases. New versions of TOUR completely supersede previous TOUR versions. TOUR uses an overlay model to install new features.

TOUR 2.5 includes a check to ensure that the STREAMS patch PHNE_31091 (or later) is not installed on the system.

Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.5 Release Notes System Requirements System Requirements This section lists the resource and the software requirements for installing and running TOUR 2.5 on HP-UX 11i v1. Supported Operating System TOUR 2.5 is supported on 32-bit or 64-bit HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11) PA-RISC servers. Minimum System Resources TOUR 2.5 requires the following minimum system resources: • The TOUR 2.5 depot file requires ~4.5 MB of free disk space. • The TOUR 2.

This is because the modules included in the regular ARPA/Transport patch are replaced by the modules included in TOUR. • PHKL_29696 (or later) – Needed for STREAMS Patch. • PHCO_29287 (or later) – libc cumulative patch. • PHCO_29328 (or later) – libc manpage cumulative patch.

Problem TCP/IPv6 connections that use HP-UX IPSec may have temporary drops in throughput and intermittent connection timeouts.
Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.5 Release Notes Known Problems and Limitations A host cannot identify the interface through which it has to send packets due to the following reasons: — A host has multiple physical network interfaces. — A router on the link does not exist to advertise prefixes. — The interfaces are configured with only link-local addresses. If packets are sent through an interface that is on a different link than the destination node, the communication fails.
