Installing TOUR 2.5

This section includes information on obtaining, installing, and verifying TOUR 2.5. It also

includes additional important information about the TOUR 2.5 installation.

NOTE TOUR 2.5 is not compatible with some versions of HP-UX IPSec. Before

installing TOUR 2.5, see “Compatibility Between TOUR 2.5 and HP-UX IPSec”

on page 12.

The TOUR 2.5 bundle contains three products: TOUR_PRODUCT, IPV6AA, and MobileIPv6. By

default, all these three products are selected for installation. You can choose not to install

HP-UX Mobile IPv6 and IPV6AA. However, IPv6AA is a prerequisite for installing HP-UX

Mobile IPv6 and for the PPPoE/v6 functionality to function properly.

Installation Instructions

To install TOUR 2.5, complete the following steps:

Step 1. Review “System Requirements” on page 7 to ensure your system meets TOUR 2.5

requirements. Also refer to “Additional Important Information” on page 12 for

details on TOUR 2.5 installation with respect to Transport patches, HP-UX IPSec,

and HP-UX IPv6.

Step 2. To download TOUR 2.5, complete the following steps:

a. Go to the HP Software Depot at http://www.hp.com/go/softwaredepot.

b. Search for “TOUR 2.5”. Select “Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR)

2.5” and read the “Overview” and “Installation” pages.

c. Select the Receive for Free >> option at the bottom-right corner of the

“Overview” or “Installation” Web page.

The product name and version is TOUR 2.5, and the software specification is

HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11).

d. Enter your registration information, and read and accept the Terms and

Conditions statements.

e. Select Download at the bottom of the page and save the TOUR 2.5 release

depot to a local file on your system. For example: /tmp/TOUR.depot.
