Installing TOUR 2.5

f. Use the swlist -d @ /tmp/TOUR.depot command to verify the depot file is on

your system.

Step 3. Use swinstall to install TOUR 2.5 from the location where you saved the depot

file. For example, run the following command:

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s /tmp/TOUR.depot TOUR

NOTE The target selection specified in the swinstall example is “TOUR”

and not “TOUR2.5” because the TOUR 2.5 product bundle name is

“TOUR”. The product bundle version reflects the version change to

2.5.

The system reboots automatically if the swinstall execution completes without

any error. If the swinstall command does not execute successfully, swinstall

displays the relevant error message and exists without installing TOUR 2.5.

The following error message is displayed if TOUR 2.5 is installed on a system with

a STREAMS patch PHNE_31091 or later:

ERROR: The patch PHNE_

nnnnn

is already installed. The Transport

Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) cannot be installed because

installing it would corrupt the patch. If you must install TOUR

A.02.05, then first remove the patch PHNE_

nnnnn

Remove the specified STREAMS patch and then use swinstall to install TOUR

2.5. Refer to “Additional Important Information” on page 12 for more details on

possible error conditions.

Verifying the TOUR 2.5 Installation

To verify the TOUR 2.5 installation, complete the following steps:

Step 1. Examine the following log files for error messages:

• /var/adm/sw/swinstall.log

• /var/adm/sw/swagent.log

Step 2. Run the following command at the HP-UX prompt:

# swlist -l bundle TOUR

If TOUR 2.5 installed successfully, the following message is displayed:
