Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.5 Release Notes

System Requirements

This section lists the resource and the software requirements for installing and running

TOUR 2.5 on HP-UX 11i v1.

Supported Operating System

TOUR 2.5 is supported on 32-bit or 64-bit HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11) PA-RISC servers.

Minimum System Resources

TOUR 2.5 requires the following minimum system resources:

• The TOUR 2.5 depot file requires ~4.5 MB of free disk space.

• The TOUR 2.5 installation requires ~7.5 MB of free disk space that is allocated as follows:

❏ The /usr directory: ~ 7 MB

❏ The /var directory: ~.5 MB

❏ The /stand directory (a new kernel is built)

The HP-UX Mobile IPv6 product is optional and can be deselected in an interactive

swinstall session. This will reduce the /usr disk space usage by ~.5 MB.

NOTE The disk space information does not include the disk space requirements

for prerequisite patches.

Prerequisite Software Patches

TOUR 2.5 on HP-UX 11i v1, requires the following software patches:

• March 2003 or later HP-UX 11i Support Plus (Quality Pack) (GOLDQPK11i)

(B.11.11.0212.5 or later)

• PHCO_24287 (or later) – Patch for syslogd (1M)

• PHNE_27796 (or later) – libnss_dns DNS backend patch

• PHNE_28895 (or later) – Cumulative ARPA Transport patch
