Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.5 Release Notes

System Requirements

NOTE After TOUR 2.5 is installed, the Transport Cumulative patch level is

equivalent to the PHNE_31247 patch. This is because the modules included

in the regular ARPA/Transport patch are replaced by the modules included

in TOUR.

• PHKL_29696 (or later) – Needed for STREAMS Patch.

• PHCO_29287 (or later) – libc cumulative patch.

• PHCO_29328 (or later) – libc manpage cumulative patch.

• PHNE_30450 (or later) – nettl patch (recommended, but not required for install).

• PHNE_30367 – STREAMS patch.

You can retrieve patches from http://www.itrc.hp.com. Future versions of Support Plus

(Quality Pack) (GOLDQPK11i) may include some of these patches. In this case, you need not

have to retrieve the patches individually.

NOTE To minimize the number of required reboots, you can combine patch

requirements (patch depot files) and the TOUR 2.5 software (depot file) into a

single depot using the swcopy utility. For more information on swcopy, type man

1M swcopy at the HP-UX prompt.

Table 1 summarizes the prerequisite patches required for upgrading from TOUR 1.0, TOUR

2.0, TOUR 2.2, and TOUR 2.4 to TOUR 2.5.
