The following flowchart outlines troubleshooting procedures that may help you
locate the problem. These steps are explained in the following pages.

Check DTC cards fitted properly
Check LAN cable connections
Perform DTC offline diagnostics
Use dtcconfig or dtclist to verify
DTC IP address is valid
Verify the correct operation of
Internet Telnet services on
the destination host
Check terminal configuration
Use dtcdiag to test terminal port.
Use DTC diagnostics.
Replace any faulty boards.
Verify that the LAN device file
used as rbootd parameter is
valid (see Verifying LAN
device File) in chapter 3.
Restart rbootd.
use dtclist or dtcconfig to check
that CPU config has correct DTC
LAN address. Then reset the DTC
Check LAN topology.
Ensure DTC and DTC Manager
are on the same network.
If problem persists, call HP
