Creation Rules
As described in the iCOD User’s Guide, Appendix A “Creating a New
Partition - No iCOD Components Allowed”: when creating a new
partition, the verification of iCOD software and processor
activation/deactivation is not possible; therefore, the iCOD software does
not allow the partition to be created unless it contains only non-iCOD
components. In previous releases, this restriction was only enforced on
HP-UX 11i v2 systems; with iCOD B.06.50 this restriction also is
enforced for HP-UX 11i v1 systems.
