Storage Accountant 2.x

To configure Storage Accountant 2.x to use the Euro currency symbol (

) on Windows NT and Windows

2000 computers, complete the following procedures on the management server.

Since the currency symbol is a management server configuration setting, the HP OpenView Storage

Management Server service must be stopped and restarted during this procedure.

Note

This procedure is required because of a known issue with JDK 1.3, in which the Java

Runtime Environment does not detect the selected default currency symbol

through the operating system, and therefore fails to pass that selection to the Java

Virtual Machine.

Identify Region and Language Support

Identify your region and language setting and find the comparable ISO language and country codes (ISO-639

and ISO-3166).

1. In Control Panel, click the Regional Options (Windows 2000) or Regional Settings (Windows NT) icon

and note the selected locale. For example:

3. Find the Locale ID code in the section: 1. Enabled Locales for java.util and java.text Functionality.

2. Find the JAVA_OPTIONS line in the configuration file. Using the Locale ID codes found in the Identify Region and Language Support procedure on page 1, add the following additional parameters to the JAVA_OPTIONS line: -Duser.language= -Duser.region=_EURO Continuing the previous example, if your selected Language (Country) is German (Germany), the associated Locale ID is de_DE (ISO language code of de and ISO country code of DE).
