Installing DHCPv6 2.002/.003
Read this chapter before installing the DHCPv6 depot. You can install DHCPv6
2.002/.003 only on a dual stack system.
NOTE: DHCPv6 available in the base HP-UX 11i v2 operating system is not compatible
with this Web upgrade of DHCPv6 2.003 on HP-UX 11i v2.
Prerequisites
The following sections discuss prerequisites for installing DHCPv6 2.002/.003 on the
HP-UX 11i v1 and HP-UX 11i v2 operating systems.
HP-UX 11i v1
The following are the prerequisites to install the DHCPv6 2.002 software depot on the
HP-UX 11i v1 operating system:
• 32- or 64-bit HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11) PA-RISC system
• IPv6 bundle (IPv6NCF11i) or Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.0/2.2
• Transport patch - PHNE_28895 (or its superseded patch)
NOTE: You can download the IPv6 software from the HP software depot at
http://www.software.hp.com (Search for the HP-UX IPv6 Product).
You can download the PHNE_28895 Transport patch (or its superseded patch) from
http://www.itrc.hp.com.
HP-UX 11i v2
HP-UX 11i v2 customers can optionally install the PHNE_31736 patch to obtain the fix
for the following defect SR 8606326543.
Installation Instructions
To install DHCPv6 2.002/.003, complete the following steps:
1. Review “Prerequisites” (page 10) to ensure your system meets DHCPv6 2.002/.003
installation requirements.
