mipadmin
The mipadmin utility queries the HP-UX Mobile IPv4 daemon (mipd or miprod) for
information about current operating parameters. You can also run mipadmin when no
HP-UX Mobile IPv4 daemon is running and extract HP-UX Mobile IPv4 log entries from
the syslog file.
The mipadmin utility also starts and stops the HP-UX Mobile IPv4 daemon (mipd or
miprod). Refer to “Starting the Home and Foreign Agent Daemon (mipd)” on page 67 or
the mipadmin (1M) man page for more information on using mipadmin to start the
daemons.
mipadmin Options
You can specify command-line options when you start mipadmin. Alternatively, you can
start an interactive mipadmin session by starting it with no options.
Table 8-1 lists mipadmin troubleshooting functions and the corresponding mipadmin
option. Several options support the -v (verbose) parameter. For more information about
each option, refer to Chapter 10, “mipadmin,on page 171 or the mipadmin (1M) man
page.
