mipconfig Command reference
Table 9-1 lists and briefly describes the mipconfig commands. Each command and its
parameters are described in subsequent sections. For step-by-step instructions on
configuring Home Agents, Foreign Agents, and configuring Correspondent Nodes for
Route Optimization, refer to Chapter 6, “Configuring and Administering Home and
Foreign Agents,” on page 49.

Command Description
? (question mark) Provides online help.
configure coa For Foreign Agents: Configures additional Care-of
Address(es) to advertise to Mobile Nodes.
configure file Reads mipconfig commands from a file (operate in
batch mode).
configure global Configures global Mobile IPv4 operating parameters,
including AAA information.
configure interface Configures the local node to be a Home Agent or Foreign
Agent, by configuring Home Agent or Foreign Agent
services for a network interface on the local node.
configure node For Home Agents: Configures information about Mobile
Node clients, or about Correspondent Nodes using
Route Optimization.
configure pool For Home Agents with AAA Mobile Node clients using
dynamic home address allocation: Configures a pool of
IP addresses to dynamically assign to Mobile Nodes.
configure router For Foreign Agents: Configures router address(es) and
netmask(s) to advertise to Mobile Nodes.
delete all Deletes all configuration data entered during the
session and any configuration data in an open file.
delete coa Deletes Care-of Address configuration data.
delete global Deletes global Mobile IPv4 configuration data,
including AAA information.
delete interface Deletes Mobile IPv4 interface configuration data.
delete node Deletes node configuration data.
delete pool Deletes dynamic home address pool configuration data.
delete router Deletes router configuration data.
exit Exits mipconfig.
help Provides online help.
