bindings
The bindings option queries mipd and displays binding information about Mobile Nodes
(information that binds the Mobile Node to its Care-of Address) on Home or Foreign
Agents.
Syntax
-b[indings] -v
Parameters
-v Verbose option.
Description
This option applies only to Home or Foreign Agents. The mipadmin utility displays the
following information about each Mobile Node:
• MN Home Address: the Mobile Node’s Home Address.
• Interface: the interface on which the Mobile Node is using the Home or Foreign
Agent service.
• Home Agent Address: the Mobile Node’s Home Agent’s address.
• Care-of Address: the Mobile Node’s current Care-of Address.
• Tunnel Name: on Home Agents, this is the name of the tunnel interface to the
Care-of Address on the Foreign Agent (for a Foreign Agent Care-of Address) or the
Mobile Node (for Co-located Care-of Addresses).
• Lifetime Remaining: the lifetime remaining for the binding, in seconds.
If you specify the -v option, mipadmin also displays the following information:
• Registration identification: ID field from the Registration Request, displayed
as two 32-bit hexadecimal values, separated by colon.
• Encapsulation Type: type of encapsulation used for the tunnel. HP-UX Mobile IPv4
supports only IP-in-IP encapsulation.
