When Route Optimization is used, the Home Agent sends a notification message to the
Correspondent Node (the node sending packets to the Mobile Node) with the Mobile
Node’s Care-of Address. This enables the Correspondent Node to send packets directly to
the Mobile Node’s Care-of Address. The notification message is cryptographically
authenticated using a key that you must configure on the Correspondent Node and the
Home Agent.
