Route Optimization Requirements
To use Route Optimization, your topology must meet the following requirements:
• The Home Agent must be an HP-UX system running the Mobile IPv4 daemon, mipd.
• The Correspondent Node must be an HP-UX system running the Mobile IPv4 Route
Optimization daemon, miprod.
NOTE A system cannot run the mipd daemon and the miprod daemon. An HP-UX system that
is a Mobile IPv4 Home Agent or Foreign Agent cannot use route optimization when
acting as a Correspondent Node.
