What to Do
If, after you have tried the update, it has been prevented due to insufficient
disk space in /opt, do the following:
Resize the /opt logical volume with at least 300MB more space than
update-ux indicated is necessary. Then proceed with the update.
Diagnostic Warning Seen When Using March 2009 OE Media
in USB DVD Unit
During cold-install or update from March 2009 HP-UX 11i v3 OE media,
you may see the following warning when using a USB DVD unit:
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM WARNING:
The diagnostic logging facility has started receiving excessive
errors from the I/O subsystem. I/O error entries will be lost
until the cause of the excessive I/O logging is corrected.
What to Do
You can safely ignore this warning for the USB DVD unit. Install or update
from OE media will succeed. HP will fix this problem in a future release.
