HP-UX 11i v3 Read Before Installing or Updating, March 2009 (Update 4 Release)

vxconfigd May Dump Core after Cold-Installing HP-UX 11i v3
March 2009 and VxVM 4.1
Cold-installing HP-UX 11i v3 March 2009 and VxVM 4.1 may lead to a core
dump from vxconfigd. This issue generally happens when duplicate VxVM
dm records are found in the config copies, or if there is a difference in the
on-disk config copies.
What to Do
No workaround currently exists. HP and Symantec are investigating possible
solutions.
Missing Manpage for pstatectl Command in PHCO_38669
PHCO_38669 enables the Dynamic P-States feature, which reduces power
consumption on systems with Itanium® 2 9100 series or later processors.
PHCO_38669 is delivered in the March 2009 OEUR as part of the
FEATURE11i patch bundle. However, FEATURE11i does not include the
new manpage patch (PHCO_39261) for the pstatectl command.
What to Do
To obtain the missing manpage, install patch PHCO_39261 from the ITRC:
http://itrc.hp.com. For more information about the Dynamic P-States feature,
see the HP-UX 11i Version 3 March 2009 Release Notes: http://
