1 HP X.25 Release Notes This document contains the most recent product information pertaining to X.25 version B.11.31.04, which is supported on the HP-UX 11i v3 operating system. 2 Announcement This revision of X.25 software, J2793B (B.11.31.04) is supported on systems running HP-UX 11i v3 operating system. The X.25 link implements the CCITT X.25 recommendations and contains the components necessary to connect an HP Integrity system to a public or private packet switching network conforming to the CCITT X.25 recommendation (1980, 1984, or 1988), or to another system in a back-to-back configuration.
3 What is in This Version This version of X.25 includes defect fixes and enhancements. The 1. 2. 3. following enhancements are provided in this version of X.25: x25init provides an option to specify the debug logging level for XOT. Configuration of PAD services for X.25 over TCP (XOT) interface. The local and remote fail-over feature is supported over the XOT interface in a Serviceguard environment. 4. XOT protocol is supported in HPVM environment.
4 Known Problems and Workarounds Problem If you use an HP X.25 2-port PCI card (product number J3525A) in some of the Integrity servers, the system may generate a Machine Check Abort (MCA). This problem may occur if the setup includes the following: • The X.25 card is installed in one of the following HP Integrity servers: ◦ Superdome sx2000 ◦ HP Integrity server rx7640 ◦ HP Integrity server rx8640 • Any version of the HP X.
