For HP-UX 11i v3 PA-RISC and Integrity operating systems, the following features of Storage
Foundation for Databases are supported in this release:
— Storage Foundation for Oracle features
Following is a list of Storage Foundation for Oracle features on Oracle 11g, in addition
to the existing features:
◦ Tiered storage for databases (DBDST) for RAC
◦ Support for Oracle database created on multiple disk groups
◦ Ability to run flashsnap commands from the CVM slave node
— Veritas Volume Manager coexistence with Oracle Automatic Storage Management
(ASM) disks
Oracle ASM disks are the disks used by Oracle Automatic Storage Management software.
VxVM co-exists with Oracle ASM disks, by recognizing the disks to be of type Oracle
ASM. VxVM protects ASM disks from operations that may overwrite the disk. VxVM
classifies and displays the ASM disks as ASM format disks. You cannot initialize an
ASM disk or perform any VxVM operations that may overwrite the disk.

Support for Oracle 9.2.0.3 or later is available and there is no compatibility issues with earlier
