HP-UX 11i v3 Installation and Update Guide, September 2009 (Update 5 Release)

Table A-2 Known install and update problems (continued)
Description/actionProblem
After Serviceguard has been installed as part of an Operating
Environment (OE) or separately, the Serviceguard cmproxyd and
cmwbemd daemons log “Permission denied to 127.0.0.1” messages to
/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log. For example:
Jan 21 07:33:02 run1 cmproxyd[1577]: Permission denied
to 127.0.0.1
Jan 21 07:33:41 run1 cmwbemd[1710]: Permission denied
to 127.0.0.1
These are harmless messages; they do not indicate a problem with the
installation.
What to do
Install patch PHSS_39614 from the ITRC (http://itrc.hp.com).
OR
If you are not using Serviceguard, ignore the messages.
To configure a Serviceguard cluster, or add this system as a node to
an existing cluster, follow directions in the latest edition of Managing
Serviceguard manual, which you can find at http://www.docs.hp.com/
en/ha.html#Serviceguard. Make sure you follow the directions under
“Configuring Root Level Access” and “Configuring Name Resolution”
near the beginning of Chapter 5.
After the node is configured into the cluster, the error messages will
no longer appear.
Harmless error messages
