HP-UX Virtual Partitions and HP Integrity Virtual

Machines are incompatible

HP-UX Virtual Partitions (vPars) is not compatible with HP Integrity Virtual

Machines (Integrity VM). The vPars and Integrity VM products cannot be

installed on the same nPartition or the same virtual partition.

Integrity VM cannot be installed on a system that has vPars software

installed. There is a check during Integrity VM installation preventing it.

Procedures for installing VxFS and VxVM are new as

of September 2009

Starting with the September 2009 Operating Environment Update Release

(OEUR), the default-install of VxFS has changed from 4.1 to 5.0, and VxVM

4.1 has been replaced by VxVM 5.0. This has important implications for
