4. Install the gmake utility (version 3.81 or later) on the system, needed to build and install the

utilities.

5. cd to the /opt/sg3utils/sg3_utils directory and run:

gmake sg3_utils

The binaries are built and stored in the /opt/sg3utils/sg3_utils/objs directory within

sg3_utils.

6. To install binaries, run the following command:

gmake install

You can use the gmake uninstall and gmake clean commands to uninstall the binaries and

clean the /opt/sg3utils/sg3_utils/objs directory, respectively.

NOTE: While installing the new binaries, the existing ones are overwritten. If you need the

original binaries, take a backup before installing the new binaries or reinstall the depot from the

web.
