HP Instant Capacity Version 10.x User Guide (762794-001, March 2014)

Member sd2prod2 added to group CloudProd
#
SGM OS CA certificate has remained on the member OA that you tried to add at the DNS mode.
It will neither create the standby_gm user on the member OA nor configure the fingerprint association
to the SGM OA USER certificate.
Action: Remove the member you just added. Remove the member OA certificate with cimtrust
command on AGM and SGM. Now retry to add the member.
# icapmanage -a -m
sd2prod2:sd2prod2oa1.corp.hp.com -g CloudProd
Enter the password for Administrator on sd2prod2oa1.corp.hp.com:
Enter the password for active_gm on sd2prod2oa1.corp.hp.com:
icapmanage command failed.
The certificate is already mapped to another user
#
As SGM used to be configured, standby_gm user has remained on the member OA. The member
OA has kept the association with the current AGM OS GM user certificate for some reasons. So
icapmanage cannot associate active_gm user with the AGM OS GM user certificate.
Action: Remove standby_gm user with the remove user standby_gm command. Now retry
to add the member.
# icapmanage -r -m sd2prod1
icapmanage command failed.
Cannot remove member sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com (serial number) from group CloudProd
as it has loaned core usage rights to other members of the group.
#
Action: Before removing a member with loaned core usage rights, it is required to have sufficient
resources elsewhere in the GiCAP group to cover the loan.
# icapmanage -r -m sd2prod1
icapmanage command failed.
Cannot release 4 core usage rights. Doing so requires the deactivation of 4 cores.
#
Action: Before removing a member with borrowed core usage rights, deactivate the cores.
# icapmanage -r -m sd2prod1
icapmanage command failed.
Cannot remove member sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com (serial number) from group CloudProd
as it has a negative temporary capacity balance ((negative) 0 days, 4 hours, 0 minutes).
#
Removing a member with negative TiCAP balance from the GiCAP group is not permitted.
Action: Manage to change the current non-compliant state to the compliant state. If other members
have some TiCAP balance, fetch some TiCAP balance from them by activating TiCAP cores. You
may doublecheck if each member has been applied IAC codeword(s). You might need to purchase
some amount of TiCAP time.
# icapmanage -r -m sd2prod1
icapmanage command failed.
ERROR: Failure writing Instant Capacity data to the dynamic profile.
#
Action: Check if both active_gm and standby_gm are associated with the correct GM OS user
certificate:
AGM cannot update the iCAP inventory on the member OA
at the member removal.
