HP Instant Capacity Version 10.x User Guide (762794-001, March 2014)

AGM cannot communicate with the member OA, because OA failover occurred on the member
where IP_ENCLOSURE_MODE is disabled or the AGM OS user certificate has been disassociated
from active_gm user.
Actions: Perform OA failback after resolving the root cause of the OA failover. If show user
active_gm on the member OA does not have the Fingerprint line, associate active_gm with
the AGM OS user certificate by executing the following command:
nl
download user certificate active_gm ftp://root:<password>@<AGM
IPAddress>:/etc/opt/iCAP/GiCAP_OA_USER_CERT.pem
# icapmanage -P -I
icapmanage command failed.
This system is not an active Group Manager.
Only an active Group Manager can transfer the GiCAP database to a
standby Group Manager.
#
Action: Perform the command on AGM.
# icapmanage -R sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com
Enter the password for the administrator on sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com:
icapmanage command failed.
ERROR: Unexpected error
#
Action: Wait for about 10 minutes until OA restart or OA failover is completed.
# icapmanage -R sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com
Error: Host sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com not responding.
icapmanage command failed.
# ping -n sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com
PING sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com: 64 byte packets
---- sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com PING Statistics----
2 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss
#
Action: Resolve the network communication issue between AGM and the member OA.
# icapmanage -x sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com
icapmanage command failed.
Failure - host sd2prod1oa2.corp.hp.com must also be down as it shares
the same hard partition as
sd2prod1oa1.corp.hp.com.
#
AGM can communicate with the standby OA of the member, therefore rights seizure fails for the
active OA.
Action: If AGM cannot communicate with both OAs that are specified at the member addition,
rights seizure for the member succeeds.
# icapmanage -s
icapmanage command failed.
The partition ID in the GiCAP database(20c4537c-00a2-11e2-abab-e4fc70c793cf_P1)
does not match the local partition ID(91335440-91a1-11d8-add2-27efdf4d8853).
The GiCAP database was last written by the GiCAP manager running on agm.corp.hp.com.
#
GiCAP_db file is copied to a different system which is neither AGM nor SGM.
Action: GM needs to run on the system applying the GiCAP codewords.
# icapmanage -sv
icapmanage command failed.
Couldn't decrypt /etc/opt/iCAP/GiCAP_db.
