Hardware

• rp5470/L3000

Required minimum ﬁrmware version: 41.02.

• rp7400/N4000

Required minimum ﬁrmware version: 41.02.

• Superdome

Required minimum ﬁrmware version: PDC 35.3 (Superdome SMS

Software version1.2).

NOTE Updating Firmware

• rp5470/L3000 and rp7400/N4000

Installing ﬁrmware patches on these servers requires additional

steps in a vPars environment. Please see “Installing Firmware

Patches on the rp5470/L3000 and rp7400/N4000” on page 84.

• Superdome

Any ﬁrmware upgrade should be performed before installing vPars.

Upgrading Superdome ﬁrmware to PDC version 35.3 must be

performed by Hewlett-Packard qualiﬁed service personnel only.

Please contact your local HP Support Representative to schedule a

convenient time for this ﬁrmware upgrade service. Please note that

all cells within the Superdome should be upgraded to the same level.

Further, if you are upgrading from a version before 32.5, updating to

35.3 requires the Superdome to be down.
