Mobile Node Registration and De-registration Problems
If the Mobile Node is not registering, check for entries in the syslog file (the default file
is /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log) with the Mobile Node’s address on the Home Agent.
If you are using Foreign Agent Care-of Addresses, also check the syslog file on the
Foreign Agent. Use the following command to view Mobile IPv4 records in the syslog
file:
mipadmin -logevents
Check for the following errors, described in the subsections that follow:
• ERROR: registration_process: failed to get link addr from Registration
Request

• WARN: Bad MN-HA authenticator
