configure interface
The configure interface command configures the IP interface address that the route
optimization daemon (miprod) will use as the source address for route optimization
tunnels (tunnels to the Mobile Nodes’ Care-of Addresses). If you do not configure an IP
address interface, miprod will use the IP address configured for the local system’s
hostname (the IP address returned by gethostbyname() for the name that
gethostname() returns).
Syntax
c[onfigure] i[nterface] [interface_name] [-pad primary_address]
Parameters
interface_name Name of the interface. The miproconfig utility will warn you if the
interface is not configured on the system (ifconfig UP, not
POINTOPOINT or LOOPBACK).
Acceptable Values: LAN interface name (lanxx[:yy], where xx is
the physical point of attachment and yy is the logical interface index).
miproconfig Default: None. If you do not specify a value,
miproconfig will operate in novice mode.
miprod Default: None.
primary_address
IP address of the interface. The route optimization daemon (miprod)
uses this address as the source address for the route optimization
tunnels (tunnels it forms with the Mobile Node’s Care-of Address).
Acceptable Values: IP address in dotted-decimal notation.
miproconfig Default: IP address configured the interface.
miprod Default: None.
