write
The write command writes data configured during the current miproconfig session to
a configuration file.
Syntax
w[rite] [filename]
Parameters
filename Name of the file to which miproconfig will write the data. If filename
does not exist, miproconfig will create the file. If filename already
exists, miproconfig will ask if you want to overwrite the existing
contents.
If you do not specify filename, miproconfig will prompt for a file
name and provide the working file name as the default.
Notes
The miproconfig utility will verify the following items to ensure that the information
required for a valid configuration file is present:
At most one interface is configured as the source address for route optimization
tunnels.
If an interface is configured as the source address for route optimization tunnels,
miproconfig checks if the interface is configured for IP services (ifconfig UP, not
POINTOPOINT or LOOPBACK) and that the IP address matches the address configured
for miproconfig. If the interface is not configured for IP or the address does not
match, miproconfig will display information messages, and continue processing the
configuration file.
If the verification check fails, mipconfig will display informative messages about the
failures. The miproconfig utility will still write data to the output file, but the file will
not be a valid configuration file. This allows you to retain the configuration data from the
session and correct it later. Do not attempt to start the miprod daemon with an invalid or
incomplete configuration file.
