roinfo
The roinfo option queries mipd or miprod and displays route optimization information
on Home Agents and Correspondent Nodes using route optimization.
Syntax
-ro[info] -v
Parameters
-v Verbose option. This option is valid only on Home Agents.
Description
On Home Agents, mipadmin displays the following information for each route
optimization entry:
MN Home Address: the Mobile Node’s Home Address.
Care-of Address: the Mobile Node’s current Care-of Address.
Correspondent Node: the Correspondent Node’s address.
Expiry Time: the expiration time for the route optimization binding.
ID: ID field from the Registration Request, displayed as two 32-bit hexadecimal
values, separated by colon.
Binding Update Message Status: the status of the Binding Update message sent
to the Correspondent Node with the Mobile Node’s current Care-of Address. The
status can be Acknowledged (the Home Agent has received an acknowledgement
from the Correspondent Node) or Pending (the Home Agent is waiting for an
acknowledgement from the Correspondent Node).
Binding Ack Message Status: the return code from the acknowledgement sent by
the Correspondent Node. The status can be Success or Error.
If you specify the -v option, mipadmin also displays the following information:
Number of Binding Update Messages Sent: number of Binding Update messages
sent to the Correspondent Node. The Home Agent should send at least one Binding
Update message each time the Mobile Node attaches to a new network.
BU Message Expiry Time: the expiration time for the current Binding Update
message.
On a Correspondent Node, mipadmin displays the following information for each Mobile
Node that is using route optimization:
Home Address: the Mobile Node’s Home Address.
Care-of Address: the Mobile Node’s current Care-of Address.
Tunnel Name: the name of the tunnel interface to the Care-of Address.
Expiry Time: the expiration time for the route optimization binding.
ID: ID field from the Binding Update message, displayed as two 32-bit hexadecimal
values, separated by colon.
