Flags: flags that indicate operation options. Possible values are:
Notify Forwards: this flag is always set for tunnels on Home Agents. It
indicates that the Home Agent will attempt to send a Binding Update (for Route
Optimization) to the Correspondent Nodes.
Any Inbound Ok: this flag is always set for tunnels on Foreign Agents.
Inbound Only: this flag is set for tunnels on Foreign Agents that are used only
for inbound traffic (from the Home Agent) and not used for reverse tunneling.
Source Forwarding: this flag is set for tunnels on Foreign Agents that are used
for reverse tunneling (and to tunnel packets from the Home Agent).
Examples
An example from a Home Agent is shown below:
mipadmin> -tun -v
___________________________________ TUNNELS _____________________________
Tunnel Name: v4tu0:1 Local Address: 11.11.11.2
Tunnel End Point: 13.13.13.2 Mobile Node: 11.11.11.4
Encapsulation: IP in IP Status: Ok
TTL: 0 PMTU: 1480
FLAGS:

Tunnel Name: v4tu0:2 Local Address: 11.11.11.2
Tunnel End Point: 13.13.13.2 Mobile Node: 11.11.11.5
Encapsulation: IP in IP Status: Ok
TTL: 0 PMTU: 1480
FLAGS:
Notify Forwards
An example from the corresponding Foreign Agent is shown below. Note that Mobile
Node 11.11.11.5 is using reverse tunneling (the Source Forwarding flag is set):
mipadmin> -tun -v
