Do not use the pre-existing tempfile. Instead, you can either obtain a backup of tempfile
with the remaining database, or remove the tempfile and then re-create a new tempfile
when the database is open.
• Veritas DBMS cannot distinguish between hosts with long hostnames
If two hostnames are more than 8 characters long and the first 8 characters are identical, the
VxDBMS cannot distinguish between them.
• Problem
If the value for the base_pagesize tunable is set to 64 K, the following error message may
be displayed while installing the 5.0.1 bundles, namely T2773DB, T2774DB, T2777DB,
T2789DB, T8684DB, T8686DB, T8687DB, T8694DB, T8696DB and T8697DB:

Workaround
You must set the base_pagesize tunable to a supported value prior to installing the 5.0.1
bundles. The supported values are 4 K, 8 K, and 16 K. If you are using the 5.0.1 bundles in
an HP-UX Integrity VM host, you must set the base_pagesize tunable to 4 K. Ensure that
you have installed the PHKL_39784 patch before setting the base_pagesize value of the
host to 4 K.
