HP Storage Management for Oracle 5.0 Release Notes, HP-UX 11i v3, First Edition, May 2008

/home/mytestdb, an error message is displayed because the repository already has a
snaplan with the name A.
Workaround
Remove one of the snapplans or use different names for the snapplans.
Problem
The checkpoint object in the HP Storage Management for Oracle GUI (SMO GUI) does not
display the correct size (in blocks) of the checkpoint. This size is not updated even after
rescanning the checkpoints in the GUI.
Workaround
To view the accurate size of the checkpoint, enter the /opt/VRTS/bin/fsckptadm -lvc
list command.
Problem
Removing the SMO repository database using the sfua_db_config -o dropdb command
does not remove the /etc/vx/vxdbed/.odbc.ini file.
Workaround
After running sfua_db_config -o dropdb, remove .odbc.ini manually using the
rm command as follows:
rm /etc/vx/vxdbed/.odbc.ini
Problem
While creating the Oracle 10gR1 database on a raw device using ODM, an error message
similar to the following is displayed:
ORA-00200: controlfile could not be created
Workaround
Disable ODM on the raw device, and then create the database.
Problem
If an instant checkpoint is created for a database that uses the Oracle Managed Files (OMF)
control files, creating a clone with the dbed_clonedb command fails with following message:
SFORA dbed_clonedb ERROR V-81-7052 OMF data or redo files are not
supported for Instant Checkpoint clones.
Workaround
Either use offline or online checkpoints, or convert the OMF control files to non-OMF.
Problem
If you click the Help button on the SMO GUI wizard, the following error message is displayed:
Error V-39-53246-8 Get EntryPoint failed.
Please check the manifest related information
Workaround
Press OK and ignore the error.
Problem
In the case of an HA configuration, the sfua_db_config command does not check if the
disk being used for the repository is a local disk or a shared disk.
Workaround
No workaround is available for this problem. The user must rely on the information of the
disk on which the repository is being created.
