This guide describes installing (called cold-installing) HP-UX 11i v3
(B.11.31) and updating from the following paths:
• HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23) PA-RISC to HP-UX 11i v3 (B.11.31) PA-RISC
• HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23) Intel Itanium
to HP-UX 11i v3 (B.11.31)
Intel Itanium
The document printing date and part number indicate the document’s
current edition. The printing date will change when a new edition is
printed. Minor changes may be made at reprint without changing the
