How to Plan Your Disk Space Needs
This section provides hints and information to help you determine your
disk needs for HP-UX 11i v3. If you need more disk space, be sure to
order the equipment and plan on installing it after backing up your
current system.
Record the hardware path to the DVD drive.
Develop a clear configuration plan, including:
File system sizes
—Swap space size
Dump device
Disk and file system parameters
Mirroring information
If installing application programs other than those supplied within
an HP-UX 11i v3 Operating Environment (OE), consider the vendor’s
size recommendations.
