Other Character Set Converters

Additional converters are provided in HP-UX 11i v3 for support of the Baltic region (Estonia, Latvia,

and Lithuania) to convert between ISO 8859-4, ISO 8859-13, and all Unicode variants.

New converters for Russia are provided to convert between Koi-8R and all Unicode variants.

Additionally, converters are provided to convert between Code Page 924 (Latin-9 EBCDIC) and

ISO 8859-15, as well as all Unicode variants.

Tru64 UNIX specific iconv converters are provided. They include converters for Japanese

(deckanji/sdechanji), Simplified-Chinese (dechanzi), and Traditional Chinese (dechanyu) to

facilitate data migration to HP-UX’s corresponding country-specific character sets.

New converters are provided for sjis2004/eucJP2004 to convert between Shift_JIS-2004/EUC-JIS-

2004 defined in JIS X 0213:2004 and all Unicode variants.

sjisMS converters have been enhanced to support cp932 (Microsoft Windows® codepage for

Japanese SHIFT-JIS ) in bidirectional conversions between sjisMS and all Unicode variants (cp932

is one of the aliases for sjisMS).
