Accounts for Users and Groups
The Accounts for Users and Groups application is used to configure and manage user
accounts, group accounts, user templates, and security attributes on a local and Network
Information Service (NIS) system.
Features
Accounts for Users and Groups enables the user to:
• Configure and manage local user accounts on the local HP-UX system. The user can also
modify password, security attributes, and secondary group information of the local users.
• Configure and manage groups on the local HP-UX system and NIS system. The user can
also update NIS maps of groups.
• Configure and manage NIS user accounts on an NIS system. The user can also modify
password, security attributes, and secondary group information of NIS users.
