creating user accounts and discard active user templates. User templates enable the user to
automate much of the tedious configuration work that must be done when creating new

The Disks and File Systems application is used to configure and manage disks, file systems,
and LVM (Logical Volume Manager) on an HP-UX system. The application includes the

Error Management Technology
Error Management Technology (EMT) is a component of the HP System Fault Management
(SFM) softwa re. EMT includes Common Error Repository (CER), which is an online,
searchable, and updateable error repository. The CER contains error metadata such as error
description, error type, severity, cause of the error, and corrective actions.
The error messages in the CER are broadly classified into the following categories:
• All (default category)

• Commands
• Hardware
• Kernel
