This sample configuration meets the general architectural rules:
• half of the nodes in each data center
• half of the storage in each data center
• each data center is highly available by itself
– multiple nodes if possible
– highly available storage
– redundant network and Fibre Channel configurations
• quorum service is provided by a system at an independent third location
• redundant inter-site links (network and storage) are physically routed differently
Best practice:
Routing inter-site network and storage traffic on the same physical media
ensures that heartbeat and storage access between the sites are either both
available or both unavailable.
