ODM configuration checks failed with errors

The ODM configuration check may fail with the following error:

Checking ODM configuration on sys_name...Failed

Cause

Check for one of the following causes:

■ ODM is not running in the cluster.

■ ODM is running in standalone mode.

Resolution

To resolve the issue

Start ODM:

# /sbin/init.d/odm start

Run the following command to verify whether ODM is running in clustered

or standalone mode:

# cat /dev/odm/cluster

cluster status: enabled

If the status is enabled, ODM is running in clustered mode; any other status

indicates that ODM is running in standalone mode.

If ODM is running in standalone mode, change the mode as follows:

# /sbin/init.d/odm stop

# kcmodule vxgms=loaded

# /sbin/init.d/odm start

VCSMM configuration checks failed with errors

The VCSMM configuration checks may fail with the following error:

Checking VCSMM configuration on sys_name...Failed

Cause

Port o is not up. VCSMM is not running.
