Setup tasks after installation

A number of setup tasks can be performed after installing the Veritas Volume

Manager (VxVM) software.

The following tasks are to perform initial setup:

■ Create disk groups by placing disks under Veritas Volume Manager control.

■ Create volumes in the disk groups.

■ Configure file systems on the volumes.

The following setup tasks are optional:

■ Place the root disk under VxVM control, and mirror it to create an alternate

boot disk.
