What's new in this release
• When you remove an HBA and the driver instance ends up being deleted, FC provider
generates a new indication (event 32) for FCLP and FCOC. The details of the event is available

• In VMSAN, FC HBA is virtualized where a single FC physical HBA is virtualized into multiple
virtual FC HBAs. On the host, the native FC drivers fcd monitors virtual and physical HBAs.
On the guest FC HBA, errors are not monitored because gvsd driver does not support error
logging to diag_log buffers in kernel space. FC Instance provider manages inventory by
collecting all the instances of the FC HBAs on both host and guest. FC CSP provider calculates
and reports the overall health of FC sub-system on both host and guest. Targets behind the
Virtual FC HBA are exposed as LUNs and the DAS provider does not have the capability to
monitor LUNs. HP-UX Mass Storage providers monitor only the direct attached storage devices
to the host. FC HBA port is connected to an FC JBOD port though an NPIV capable switch.
DASProvider does not monitor FC JBOD.
