Defect fixed in B.11.23.1004 release
Fibre-Channel indication provider module consumes SAS EMS events and generates WBEM
indications using these events. The provider name used in Fibre-Channel indication module
is HPUXSASIndicationProvider.

In the previous release, incorrect hardware path and World Wide Number (WWN) of the
hardware are displayed on System Management Homepage (SMH) for a dual/multi port
Fibre-Channel Card.
In the current release, this defect is fixed. On HP–UX 11i v2 OS, two tables namely FC Ports
and FC Controllers are displayed on the SMH page. The FC Controllers table displays

information about the physical cards on the machine. The FC Ports table displays information
about the individual ports.
Defect fixed in B.11.23.1012 release
In the previous release, the command evweb eventviewer -En <logIndex> displays
all dynamic data, such as the location of the Fibre-Channel HBAs, in Summary and Description
fields of the output.

In the current release, the command output displays all dynamic data in a variable array in
HPUXFCDIndicationProvider and HPUXTDIndicationProvider.
In the previous release, zombie threads were created in the SFMProviderModule. A
preventive fix is implemented in the HPUXFCIndicationProviderModule.

In the previous release, when event subscriptions are created by a non-privileged user, the
HPUXFCIndicationProviderModule runs out of file descriptors and stops functioning.
As a result, events reported by the HPUXFCIndicationProviderModule may be lost.

In the current release, this defect is fixed. As a result, events reported by the
HPUXFCIndicationProviderModule are not lost even if event subscriptions are created
by a non-privileged user.

In the previous release, during installation of Fibre-Channel provider, the
/FCP-NIP-RUN/configure file contained RAIDSA provider related message.
In the current release, the /FCP-NIP-RUN/ configure file is modified to display Fibre-Channel
provider related message.
