Changes in release 5.6
New options and enhancements
The HP Caliper 5.6 release has the following improvements:
• Addition of dispersal metrics for Intel® Itanium® 9500 processors.
Issues resolved
• QXCR1001231088 — Caliper report generation fails with SIGSEGV when the caliper
database is embedded with source information of library/executable.
• QXCR1001240591 — Caliper instrumented measurements hit assert when target process
runs under a different user id.

Changes in release 5.5
New options and enhancements
The HP Caliper 5.5 release has the following improvements:
• Support for Intel® Itanium® 9500 processors is added.
• A new option --dcache-hits, is added. This option is available only on Intel® Itanium®
9500 processors. This option specifies that Caliper should measure and report dcache load
hits along with misses.
• A new option --dcache-stores, is added. This option is available only on Intel® Itanium®
9500 processors. This option specifies that Caliper should measure and report dcache store
misses.
• Enhancements to GUI: Support for obtaining "dcache hits" has been added in the Caliper
GUI. A check box has been provided for this purpose.
