1.4 Acquiring and Installing HP-UX SRP You can acquire and install HP-UX Secure Resource Partitions free of charge from Software Depot: http://www.software.hp.com 1.4.1 Installation Requirements The following versions of Perl have known interoperability issues with SRP and require a patch: • D.5.8.8.F included in the September 2008 release of HP-UX 11i v3 • E.5.8.8.C included in the March 2009 release of HP-UX 11i v3 If you have one of the above versions of Perl either download and install version E.5.8.8.

• The correct state is reported by srp –status. In HP-UX SRP A.02.01 or earlier, the state reported by the srp -status command was inconsistent with the actual status of the SRP. Defect number: QXCR1001063622 • The Secure Shell server can now be re-started in the INIT compartment via /sbin/init.d/secsh. NOTE: This requires HP-UX Secure Shell version A.05.50 or later. You can download HP-UX Secure Shell from http://software.hp.com. Defect number: QXCR1001063627 1.7 Known Issues in HP-UX SRP A.02.

• Using HP-UX Ignite-UX to restore a system with the SRP product enabled will fail. Workaround: 1. Take a full system archive instead of a minimum archive. 2. When the Ignite-UX restore fails, bring up a shell, execute the cmpt_tune –d command, and reboot the system. The recovery will continue after reboot. • The CompartmentLogin product is uninstalled after HP-UX 11.31 is updated to the March or September 2009 release. The ContainmentExt.
