HP Fortran Version 3.3 Release Notes

The information in this document applies to the release of HP Fortran compiler Version
3.3, supported on HP-UX 11i v1, 11i v2, and 11i v3 operating systems.
HP Fortran Overview
HP Fortran for HP-UX is a powerful mathematical and scientific language that supports
array-handling, data-abstraction, and data hiding.
HP Fortran v3.3 is supported on HP-UX 11i v2 or HP-UX 11i v3 operating systems on
Integrity systems, and HP-UX 11i v1, HP-UX 11i v2, or HP-UX 11i v3 operating systems
on HP 9000 systems. HP Fortran v3.3 supports both 32- and 64-bit address.
What is New in This Version
This section discusses the new features introduced in this version of the HP Fortran
compiler.
New Features in Version 3.3
HP Fortran version 3.3 supports the following new features:
1. Fortran 2003 Features
Allocatable Attributes” (page 6)
“Specification and Initialization expression” (page 6)
“IEEE intrinsic modules” (page 6)
The use of +f2003 command line option enables the above features.
The following Fortran 2003 features are enabled by default:
