Table 4 Transport Statistics (continued)
Description of FieldCLiscsiutil Statistic
Number of times an I/O failed due to time-out. An I/O can
get timed out due to transient error conditions in the I-T nexus
D/TI/Os timed out
or due to memory crunch situations or due to tag allocation
failures that can happen when a device is slow and I/O load
is heavy.
Number of times an I/O failed due to connection being in
offline state.
D/TI/Os failed due to connection being offline
Number of times an I/O failed due to session being in offline
state.
D/TI/Os failed due to session being offline
I/Os failed due to inability to obtain memory.DI/Os failed due to non-availability of
resources
Number of times an I/O failed at the device end.D/TI/Os failed at target
Number of times the number of bytes received do not match
the number of bytes that target sent.
D/TI/Os failed due to underrun condition
Number of times an I/O failed with task aborted scsi status.
An I/O can be aborted with this scsi status if a task
II/Os failed with task aborted scsi status
management operation (warm/cold target reset, lun reset or
clear task set) is issued from some other initiator.
Number of times an I/O failed due to check condition.D/TI/Os failed due to check condition
Number of times an I/O failed with command terminated scsi
status.
D/TI/Os failed with command terminated scsi
status
Number of times an I/O is returned from tag queue to SCSI
services when session has gone offline.
II/Os on tag_q purged when ssn went offline
Number of times an I/O waiting for a tag is failed due to task
management processing.
II/Os on tag_q aborted while task
management is in progress
Number of times an I/O waiting for a tag is failed due to
time-out.
II/Os on tag_q aborted due to time out
Number of times an I/O waiting in transient queue (as I-T
nexus is in transient state) is failed due to time-out.
I/DI/Os on transient_q aborted due to time out
Number of times the maximum number of tags that can be
allotted is reduced. This is done when the system is running
INumber of times tag_q throttled down
short on memory resources to avoid putting more pressure on
it. The maximum number of tags is restored when the memory
crunch goes away.
Number of times the driver has come across a lun that has an
extended logical unit addressing method. This statistic is
updated only during legacy I/O node registration.
IInvalid lun addressing during legacy I/O
nodes regstration
Number of times the driver has come across a lun whose
addressing doesn't match with the target addressing (as
ILun address mis-match with determined
target addressing
decided in the precedence of volume set, logical unit and
peripheral device addressing). This statistic is updated only
during the legacy I/O node registration.
Number of times the legacy external bus instance numbers
have crossed the maximum value of 255. Till 11i v2 release,
INumber of times legacy bus instance
numbers overflowed
there is a 8 bit restriction on the size of legacy external bus
instance numbers. In order to preserve the same behavior,
legacy busses with instance numbers greater than 255 are still
not supported. Note that this will impact only legacy I/O node
registration.
