Table 2-1 The HP Insight Recovery Configuration Process
Description....Step number...
The local and remote site information is configured in this step. Typically, once configured this information is rarely
changed, but can be updated at any time.
1
The Storage Replication Group information is configured in this step. In Insight Recovery, a Storage Replication
Group is a generic term for what is referred to as a “
DR Group
” in Continuous Access EVA terminology.
2
A Recovery Group is an Insight Recovery concept that pairs a single logical server with a single Storage Replication
Group. The set of all Recovery Groups is failed over from the Primary Site to the Recovery Site in the event of a site
failover.
3
Once the Primary Site is configured, Insight Recovery must be configured at the Recovery Site. To simplify
the Recovery Site configuration process and to help ensure that the two sites have synchronized configurations,
you can export the Primary Site configuration information to a file, transfer that file to the Recovery Site, and
import the configuration information at the Recovery Site.
