How do I
1. From the Sites tab, click Configure, then click Export.
2. Click Save.
3. Specify a destination for the exported file. When done, click Save.
4. Send the exported file to the target Primary or Recovery Site. See “Importing Site Configurations” for
more information.
Notes
▲ The exported configuration file is saved on the administrator's desktop. If the import will be done from
a different desktop, the file will have to be transferred.

Importing Site Configurations
Overview
Use the import feature to configure the Recovery Site, after the Primary Site has been configured.
How do I
1. From the Recovery Site, access the Insight Recovery Sites tab, click Configure, then Import.
2. Click Browse or Enter the path to the file being imported. Click Next.
3. Verify the Site information is correct. Click Next.
4. Verify the Storage Replication Group information is correct. Enter the CommandView Server credentials.
Click Next.
In this phase of the Import process, a search is made of all the logical server names configured on the
Recovery Site to determine if any match the logical server names of those that are included in the
imported Recovery Groups from the Primary Site. If any matches are found, they are automatically
associated with the logical servers having the same name at the Recovery Site. If no matches are found,
you must choose a logical server name from a drop-down list.
5. Review the Import summary screen. If the information is correct, click Import.
6. After an import is completed, all of the Recovery Groups at the Recovery Site are in Maintenance Mode.
Maintenance Mode enables each DR Protected logical Server at the Recovery Site to be manually
tested. Once the Recovery logical servers have been tested, you must disable Maintenance Mode for
each of the Recovery Groups.
Notes
• You must complete the Insight Recovery Configuration Process , at the Primary Site to successfully export
and import the configuration.
• The exported file can be transferred to the Recovery Site.
• HP Insight Recovery deletes current site configurations as part of the import process.
