10 Authorizing a SIM User to Administer Insight Recovery
Overview
A SIM Administrator is authorized to administer Insight Recovery. You can also authorize a specific SIM
user to manage HP Insight Recovery without having to grant that user full Administrator privileges.
How do I ?
1. From SIM, menu bar, select Options -> Security -> Users and Authorizations. Refer to the SIM User
Guide for more information.
2. Create a Toolbox named Insight Recovery . Add the Insight Recovery Tool to this newly created Toolbox.
3. Authorize specific SIM user(s) to use the Insight Recovery Tool.
Notes
▲ As part of some HP Insight Recovery administration procedures, you need to perform Insight Dynamics
-- VSE operations. For Insight Dynamics -- VSE, the user must have SIM authorization for "VSE All Tools"
Toolbox.
