Introduction The HP Matrix Operating Environment software product includes several features which depend on OpenSSH being installed on HP ProLiant and Integrity managed servers running Microsoft® Windows®. However, some environments are not using OpenSSH and prefer to avoid installing OpenSSH on all managed systems. For those environments, HP Matrix Operating Environment is supported.

In addition, the vseassist command line interface on the central management server when executed with the syntax vseassist –l –n will report failures for SSH port open and SSH authentication verification checks. These can be ignored providing the HP Matrix Operating Environment functionality limitations are understood when OpenSSH is not installed.
