HP Integrity Virtual Server Manager
Integrity Virtual Server Manager is the GUI that you can use from your browser to manage Integrity
VM resources. Integrity Virtual Server Manager allows you to create, configure, and evaluate
virtual machines, and monitor and evaluate data and resources at the level of the VM Host. You
can view all of a VM Host's virtual machines and their assigned resources, and you can view all
resources assigned to a specific virtual machine or virtual switch. For example, Integrity Virtual
Server Manager provides graphical views of virtual-to-physical network and storage devices so
that you can view I/O data, including resource utilization information. Integrity Virtual Server
Manager obtains information about Integrity VM resources through Web-Based Enterprise
Management (WBEM) providers installed on the VM Host.

HP Matrix KVM Private Cloud
HP Matrix KVM Private Cloud, new in Insight Management 7.2, enables the provisioning of virtual
machine instances on KVM (Linux kernel-based virtual machine) hosts in a virtual data center (a
cloud) using Matrix infrastructure orchestration templates and self-service portal processes. It provides
automatic detection and accelerated integration of KVM hosts, and includes a health monitoring
subsystem to provide up-to-date information about KVM hosts.
Matrix KVM Private Cloud has adopted OpenStack, an open-source technology for cloud computing
software to build private, public, and hybrid cloud solutions deployed by enterprises and service
providers.
The Matrix KVM Private Cloud environment consists of:
• A management appliance running the HP Matrix KVM Admin Console. The appliance is
hosted on a single KVM management host or a two-node failover KVM management cluster
in a High Availability design.
• A set of compute nodes under the exclusive control of the management appliance. The compute
nodes run on physical Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 KVM hosts.

Product configurations
The software is installed on a CMS running HP SIM, which provides a browser-based user interface.
A single CMS can be used to manage different types of systems. The software is installed on the
CMS once, regardless of how many or what types of managed system licenses are purchased.
Licenses for the managed systems are maintained on the CMS.
